Holy Checkers!

I really liked this story, the author didn't have Severus become a different person by waving a magical wand (pun possibly intended) and I love the relationship between them. Also, it's written with them with being older, and I noticed that not many authors do that. Post DH, throws epilogue that should never have happened against the proverbial garbage bin. Definitely recommend reading.

After having gone through all the points on why I shouldn't have to act like a glorified house-elf ( not sure mom got the reference), and generally whined about it, my mother saw fit to blackmail me into jumping out of the computer. Not sure if it counts as blackmail when she says:" No more computer if you don't clean the kitchen; cook the diner; do a load for the washing machine; make sure your brother takes a bath and clean the kitchen again". After gaping at her for a full 5 minutes, being cut off from finishing whole sentences by utterances of " And not another word!", I finally resigned myself to my fate. I WAS BEING KICKED OUT OF THE COMPUTER!

  

So here I was, a house-elf worker doing 'ma thin , and a thought struck me. Do mother's actually have immunity when it comes to blackmail? Could it be called reasonable child-rearing for parents?It seems to work!

Relatively short story, good AU post DH minus Epilogue. I'm impressed with how the author worked out the plot without sounding too far fetched within the book oriented version. Exposed Lily as perhaps not being the epitome of good and light, and includes a happy ending. Well worth reading it.

So here I am, trying to go through facebook on my distracted/uninterested way, and look to the left and on the menu I have about a 100 and something requests for games and whatever people think I might lose my time with. Having to go through the tedious task of deleting and repeat, I can't help myself and I click on this:

In my defense, I can claim it made me nostalgic. It took me back to the times when I used to go to friends houses and Barbie dolls were everywhere. I CLICKED. I found myself indulging in it, and then I unstuck myself from it and back to the games page. It's a slippery slope my friends I tell you. I can't stop clicking in the games! I look left and....I have sudden desire to bake a cake. Facebook ruins my life.
